I bought shelled fresh fava beans at whole foods and used them to make falafel. They were quite good, thanks to the people that suggested using them!

I could never get falafel to stay togeter right until I met someone who had lived in Isreal and cooked falafel there. He told me that the secret is to use soaked, uncooked chickpeas. Here's a link to a soaked chickpea falafel recipe.

falafel is seriously the most impossible dish to make from scratch
everytime i make the batter it is too mushy
so today i finally think i get it right
and the second i place it in the oil it turns to mush

Hi, both my Mum and I have tried many falafel recipes but every time the darn things fall apart, even deep frying properly (I thought at first it was shushing them round in the pan made them fall apart). Any tips 'n' tricks for recipes/binding them that actually work? It's starting to feel like we're cursed!

my room-mate bought a cheap spatula that melted onto her teflon pan while i was making falafel... i tried using a scrubby sponge and it didn't chip off at all. i feel like an assface for being kind of off-topic, but i didn't know who else to ask...

is there any way to save my friend's precious pan?????

um, anyone know how long falafil mix is good for once the water has been mixed in???
(store bought dry mix)
btw, falafil burgers seem to kick frozen veg burger ass all over the place!!!
